Don't forget to answer "what the relationship is between 'fastest' and 'best for my company'?" (This varies by company - there is no predetermined correct answer!)

Also, in some cases, best >>might<< include some mundane requirements like

  • when the box breaks, the data is reasonably safe;
  • recovery IS possible;
  • if the company grows, moving to a bigger box - or a different box - is painless;
  • all questions, upgrades, bug fixes, calls to support are included in the support fee;
  • people who know how to code or maintain the platform are available;
  • obscure feature xyz is included and therefore doesn't require additional coding

Just some thoughts - YMMV
