I'm using the Oracle Universal Installer to upgrade my 8.1.6 (NT) db to 8.1.7. Anyway, I want to use a new Oracle Home directory. In the "File Locations" window, under "Destination" I accidentally typed the wrong value in the "Name" field for the "Path" I want to use. Now it won't let me change the name for that particular path. If I type a new name, the "Path" field turns blank. When I change the path back, the old (incorrect) name pops back in the "Name" field.

I searched and deleted all references to the new path in the registry, and the logs in the Program Files\Oracle directory, but it didn't fix the problem. Stupid POS, how do I get rid of that "Name" & "Path" association?

TIA. Received on Wed May 07 2003 - 05:18:08 CEST
