Does Java thin-client support proxy logon?

I have been testing the proxy logon mechanism with a Java test program using the thick/OCI Oracle client. I hope to use proxy logon in our WebLogic based application.

However, the developers want to use the thin-client (100% Java). As far as I can find out, the thin-client does not support proxy logon. Can someone confirm or refute this? If proxy logon is not currently supported, will it ever be?
