Hi,

I'm a Java developer, and I would like to develope some application to use Oracle 9i just as a data container. I use a PC workstation running WinXP or WinNT to develope my application, and I would like to install a very light version of Oracle, to switch it after on a Unix Server running a production environment of Oracle.
I want to save space on my pc (or laptop).

My question is: which version may I download? I found two version on www.oracle.com

  • Oracle 9i Lite (300MB)
  • Oracle 9i Personal (3 CD-ROMs)

Can someone explain me the differences, and indicate me the best version I could use for my purpose?

Thanks in advance, regards.
