I am trying to create a second database in a new instance using
Personnel Oracle 8.1.7.
I have created the new Instance ORT successfully, and created the
database and log files. however now when I try to create the table
spaces and roll back segments I am always getting the ORA-01109 error.
I have started the database instance in NOMOUNT mode using the new
initort.ora file that I have created. It starts in NOMOUNT ok, but as
soon as I try to run my script that create the table spaces, i get
the error.
I have tried starting and stopping the instance several times and
stopping all other instances on my machine, but this is still not
helping.
Is this a problem with Personnel Oracle?
I am on Win2000Pro running Pers Oracle 8.1.7 rel3.
Any ideas?
