Query only runs on one of two identical machines

We have two identical machines. Our PL scripts generates on one machine the following error message :
ORA-01830: date format picture ends before converting entire input
string
ORA-06512: at line 692
ORA-06512: at line 708
On the second identical machine the same script runs without problems. Login.sql and database are all identical.
What can be the reason ?
