Oracle Intaller JRE hangs on RH 7.x

When i run the installerit just doe this

glen_at_product Disk1]$ ./runInstaller
[glen_at_product Disk1]$ Initializing Java Virtual Machine from ../stage/Components/oracle.swd.jre/1.1.8/1/DataFiles/Expanded/linux/bin/jre . Please wait...

and just hangs left it for over 20hours til i had to kill -9 it Received on Tue May 28 2002 - 23:13:18 CEST
