I have been using SQL*Plus at uni for a few weeks and have an
assignment to do using it. I have now installed it at home and i am
having problems logging in. When asked for my User Name, Password and
Host String i use the same details i use at uni to connect to the
server there. Is this the right thing to do??
If so, then can anyone tell me why i always get the following error
message after i log in...
ERROR:
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name
After this message i am prompted for my User Name again and then the
Password, i enter the same username and password as i use at uni and
then i get this error message....
ERROR:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-09243: smsget: error attaching to SGA
OSD-04101: invalid SGA: SGA not initialized
If anybody could help i would appreciate it sooo much!
