generating oracle reports in pdf format

dear sir/madam,

we've a s/w that comprises of complete customer profile including customer id and email id.
apart from that we've we print Financial ledgers, and we want to print ledgers in PDF format and mail them to clients. So this PDF file is a very large file and the report engine takes time to generate report for the client one by one.
we want to generate report in one go(for the FA legder) secondly we want to provide a utility to the client with a facility of splitting a large pdf file into small pdfs. so how to solve these two problems, so that we can give a complete solution to the client.
