removing oracle 8 from my system

I am a University student and I'm done using oracle developer 8 and I want to get rid of it on my pc and I can't seem to uninstall it. I run the setup program from the cd and select all the components to remove and click remove and then nothing happens. The applications ends and and nothing is uninstalled.

Any tips would be appreciated.
