Hi,

I the hostname and disk structure on the two machines is going to be identical then you can just tar everything up and drop it on the new server.

If the disk structure changes you wil need to migrate the databases in some way (hot backup, exp/imp)

If the hostname of the machine changes this will mean that the listeners will need to be changed to listen on the new host.

Its quite a big job if you change the name of the machine.
