After upgrading to Version 8.1.7, we're having some interesting issues. We're seeing error message ORA-06530: Reference to uninitialized composite, and then shortly after, we SOMETIMES see error message ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 5999952 bytes (callheap, bind var buf).

I know that the ORA-06530 error is usually a PL/SQL error, but in this case I'm wondering if a lack of memory could be triggering it. Our DBA is telling us it's not memory... but then what is it??? The only thing that's changed is the upgrade of Oracle. As an FYI... we can run the same code, with the same data on the same server 10(+) times and not get the error then on the 11th (or 12th, or 13th...) time we get the ORA-06530 error message. Has anyone out there run into this situation or have any possible ideas about this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated. Received on Tue Dec 18 2001 - 15:17:36 CET
