Hi, I'm researching app servers and have some questions regarding 9iAS.
- Is it possible to install/run 9iAS separately from the database? Or, is database installation required to run the app server?
- Is RedHat still officially supported by the Oracle for its App Server? I've heard a rumor Oracle dropped RedHat support because of a RedHat decision to bundle database software (postgres maybe?). Just wondering if there is any truth to this.
- What types of price incentives are offered to existing database customers (of 9i) to use the app server? I realize this varies from shop to shop but in general, I'd like to know how much of a break you get for using the database.
Much Thanks. Received on Tue Dec 11 2001 - 17:06:01 CET
