ODBC and Oracle 7 on Unix

I have Oracle 7 running under SCO Unix. I want to give reporting facilities to windows workstations that are on the same network. I have Oracle 8i for windows. What is the right way to do it?

Having gathered that I need to run the listener on the Oracle 7 server before anything, I set it up but on running 'lsnrctl start', I get the following error:

TNS-12547: TNS:lost contact
NNC-00401: API ini failed
 NL-00404: null context

How can I solve this problem?
