Fast multiplatform VLDB migration

Hi,
How to plan and execute the following migration :
- The source - Oracle VLDB schema on AIX 4.3.3, 500GB, 24X7 .
- The target - Oracle VLDB schema on Sun Solaris 8
The source can be offline only for 4hrs.
Apparently the schema generation scripts exist for the Sun platform.
Both servers are on the same network, but how to move ~ 500Gb only in
4hrs ?
What about using non Oracle software for this task ?
