you don't need to do an export/import to rename a database. Follow these steps -

  1. ALTER DATABASE BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE
  2. shutdown database
  3. edit the trace file - CREATE CONTROLFILE REUSE SET DATABASE "Enter New DB name" RESETLOGS NOARCHIVELOG
