you don't need to do an export/import to rename a database. Follow these steps -
- ALTER DATABASE BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE
- shutdown database
- edit the trace file - CREATE CONTROLFILE REUSE SET DATABASE "Enter New DB name" RESETLOGS NOARCHIVELOG
- connect to server manager or sqlplus and start the DB using this
edited trace file.
