I am a newbie to both Unix System Administration and Oracle DBA admin and ServiceIT. I inherited it and need all the help I can get. For those that aren't familiar with it, ServiceIT is a Help Desk package that can interface with Oracle.

We currently have installed Solaris system 7 on a Sun box, we've put on oracle and we have put serviceIT on it but have not successfully ran the pdm_configure in our current box. (consistantly get errors and it fails to create the Database.)

If anyone has any experience in this environment please email me ASAP. My side of it is mostly the Unix side of it, but we also have a DBA for the oracle side of it and he is also a newbie that inherited it much the same as I.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
