Any ideas if this is a workable disk partitioning scheme?
I have 4 ide drives (2x60GB and 2x40GB).
Redo logs (RDO1-3) are mirrored in oracle on hde and hdf
Control files are on ext2 mirrored on /b01-4
Archive logs are mirrored (in oracle) on /b01 and /b02
Daily USR, INDX, SYSTEM, TOOLS, etc... dumps accumulate on /b03 and
/b04
I am not planning on exhaustively backing up the 10GB UNDO partition.
Can I recreate it during recovery? Should I just go with a smaller 2G
partition and back it up religiously?
