You most definitely can, Randall. Even though it would help you a great
deal (interacting w/ the instructor/students) -- you don't have to.... When
I started, I was/am an MCSE and not much Oracle (besides installing it onto
desk/laptops) -- and I took the Introduction to Oracle and the PL/SQL
Application Programming courses through an instructor led class. Everything
else, on my own!
It's worth spending a little money in your education -- you'll get it back
(if you're really into it) -- within 6-months at most.
