Founded in 1986, Collegis is the leading provider of IT management solutions for the Higher Ed marketplace. We are currently seeking an Oracle Financial Developer to serve as Team Lead at our New Orleans, LA location.

The Oracle Financial Developer will be responsible for one or more specific modules within the financial area as a member of a team of (3) analysts and (4) developers. The Developers will work with assigned Analysts to interact with the user community. Developers will report to the Developer Team Lead, who in turn reports to the Collegis Oracle Financials Project Leader. The Team Lead will supervise at a project level the efforts of the developers in coordination the Analyst Team Lead and be responsible for appropriate development, testing and production implementation of coding changes. The Developer will be responsible for creation of program and code specifications modifications for various projects, gap and fit analysis when required, assist with new version and module implementations, and limited user liaison activities. The modules supported will include GL, AR, AP, Purchasing, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Applications Object Library, and Grants. Other responsibilities will include ancillary developed Oracle systems, conversion from Oracle 10.7.3 to 11i, participating in the implementation of a data warehouse, and the training, mentoring and managing of the existing staff. Environment includes IBM mainframe ES-9000 and R6000 AUX systems.

Requirements:

Must have 3+ years experience working with Oracle Financials, preferably in a Higher Education setting, strong project management skills, complete and proficient use of all Oracle tools including Developer, Designer and Discoverer. Experience with implementing software development methodologies and upgrading/migrating Oracle Financials to new release levels. Ability to communicate to the end user community in an effective and timely manner. Capable of training staff that may not have all necessary technical or communications skills. Understanding of Oracle Corporate culture, methodologies, and vendor management.
