There is actually firewall related information in the Net8 documentation on http://technet.oracle.com > documentation > Oracle8i and Oracle8i JVM > General documntation for 8.1.7
Aside from that, either O'Reilly or Oracle Press has a reasonable book on Net8. (http://oracle.oreilly.com or http://technet.oracle.com & look for the Oracle Press ad)
