Hello,
I have need to rename an instance or have another instance look at the same datafiles. Is this possible ? I have searched high and low and like most things Oracle related the documentation is scarce. This is on Ora8 on Solaris. My knowledge of Oracle is shaky, so please don't presume I know anything.
