On Oracle8i Personal Edition 8.1.6 for Windows98 -
The workstation has two databases set up. We need to auto-start one of the databases by default when the machine boots up, or when a program opens the database.
The OSTART.EXE command doesn't seem to take a parameter - it always shows a drop down box with the database names. Can a database name be passed somehow to OSTART.EXE?
The registry entry for the preferred database is set at AUTOSTART : YES. What does this setting really do? Is there another registry setting to make one database auto-start?
Thank you in advance. Received on Fri Jun 01 2001 - 19:10:48 CEST
