RF Design Engineer Lead - Tuner

RF Design Engineer Lead - Tuner: San Diego, CA Develop system designs of RF tuner modules for high volume production, through calculations, simulations, modeling and documentation. Implement system designs through the process of schematic capture, PCB layout, lab optimization, and generation of "bills of material". Develop and characterize LC filters, PLL loop filters, and matching circuits.
Evaluate and characterize active amplifiers, mixers, and oscillators Communicate circuit and system designs, goals, and performance through documentation and presentations
Some travel to meet with customers and vendors. Experience / Requirements: BSEE + 7-10 years related experience; Capability to develop a viable RF product design from system requirements and IC component specifications. Capability to test RF and Digital Communication systems through solid knowledge of test equipment and ATE. Capability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and present alternatives. Willing and able to take a leadership role in a product development environment. Tools: Word, Excel, Orcad, PADS, Mathcad, Matlab. Experience working with IC designers.
