Had nearly same problem using HP. Files size was only 73K for HP though. Webserver would just hang and not return any error. Oracle claimed it was a bug in the webserver software that is solved in the next version. Since that version wasn't available for HP, we had to buy a Solaris machine just to solve the problem. The Solaris machine with the updated software worked fine.
