Simple Question ?? - Using Oracle 7 client & Oracle 8 client on the same computer.

Hello there!
It seems I'm having a little bit of trouble trying to get both Oracle 7
client & Oracle 8 client running at the same time on a single pc.What I'm
trying to do is use the Oracle 7 client only to connect an Oracle 7 Database
and also only use the Oracle 8i client to connect to an Oracle 8i database.
Unfortunately what happens is that it appears to be forcing to use the
Oracle 7 client when connecting to the Oracle 8i database ?
I have setup the references in both tnsnames.ora files for both Oracle 7 & 8
but still no joy.
It appears to be only working when I have a reg file to switch between the
versions, but I was wondering if anyone has had this working before ?? Or if
it's possible ??
Or am I just hoping for tooo much ;)
