A solution is to create a Sequence in oracle, a view in Acce$$ to get a new value from the sequence. In the form in the on_new_record (i don't recall the exact event name but you know what I mean), you execute the query and use the new sequence value as a primary key. Because the PK is obtained from the sequence, it not possible for 2 users to get the same value (Oracle does all this automatically, no manual locking etc needed).
