We have forwarded this information to our Oracle support. If this solves our problem I couldn't be happier. We aren't using XA mode transactions (as far as I know) so just installing Net8 client should do for us.

Do you know whatever this incident made it to the bug list (bug number)? Our Oracle support have some difficulty finding this particular incident.
