I don't agree on everything you write, but the most important is true: it pays better...

Yet, in my experience (haven't tried them all, true) Dev2K is by far the best 4GL available for ordinary business oriented custom development: it is fast, can do almost everything, you can find a collegue with (more) experience and it is easy to write well maintainable code. Can't tell all of that about the competition, IMO.
