Hello,

I am an experienced UNIX user who is trying for the first time to install Oracle. I have the Oracle 8.0.5 for Linux CD and have *almost* been able to complete the installation. My problem is, that after pages of excruciating detail about how to cd, chmod, chown etc (I know all that), the documentation then simply says

                          "run catrep.sql"

How on earth do I *do* that? I dont know which of the many executables I need to start and under which user name in order to "run" the script.

Could someone please point me to some documentation that explains how to complete this task? Any hints/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Bruce Sams
