I have Oracle8 installed on a Linux box and wanted to get the evaluation copy of Designer/2000 (for 95/98/NT) installed and running off that server. I went through the installation process (to install a repository) and everything went fine bar one thing.

There were problems installing the packages. Now when I try and create a new application system I get:

RME-00224: Failed to close activity
RME-00222: Failed to dispatch operation to Repository
RME-00011: Operation 'close' on ACTIVITY has failed
RME-00020: Internal API error - ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program
unit being called

Here are parts of the log file generated by that particular step:

Loading rmac.opb...
Loading rman.opb...
Loading rmand.opb...

and:

Its after that last series of messages that it fails (consistently; I've tried reinstalling just the module part of the setup).

Does anyone have any idea why this might be the case?
