ReportWriter V1.1- Var Param Question

Hello,
Is there a way I can pass to a parameter the order-by field the select clause is to use? The order-by sequence is defined in a table updated by SQL Forms prior to the running of the report writer. I currently have multiple queries defined ( 1 for each possible order by)and have a little routine for selecting records only in the query containing the desired order-by. It would be nice to set up only 1 query and have the order by variable. I really don't want to use the run-time parameters in RW, I like using the Forms screen to enter parameters. I would appreciate any advice.
