How to create a new database service

I started Net8 Assistant and created a new service with the same properties as tcp-loopback(IP:127.0.0.1 port 1521 sid:ORCL). But then I can connect to the database using tcp-loopback but not using my new service. Is there something else that I should do? Thanks in advance.
