Adding joint nodes to Designer 2000 ERDs?

Is there a way to add joint nodes to a Designer 2000 ERD? I can't find any information on the matter. Designer 2000 does a rotten job of laying out the entities and when I attempt to rearrange them I get lines going all over the place and can't figure out how to clean it up. I want to add more node joints to the relationship lines but can't figure out how to do it.
