Right, READ_IMAGE_FILE() and WRITE_IMAGE_FILE are limited to Forms application.

64K limit: ?? we do display larger images with Forms5 !

Forms only displays the first image of a multipage TIFF: RIGHT; however you can use an external TIFF viewer which can be controlled with OLE openess feature of FORMS.

Other things:

If Oracle7: the column which store the image is LONGRAW.

If Oracle8: use the BLOB type column to store the image. But, Forms5 does not support BLOB column type. You may prefer to wait for the upcoming Forms6.
