Oracle MTS bugs?

Any truth to the rumor that some versions of Oracle have MTS bugs? We're running 7.3.3.5 and had big problems when using Oracle Web Server for Web clients; long delays getting connected, etc. When our DBA turned off MTS, the problems vanished.
