REplication With Oracle Database

Hi Everyone,
We have to replicate our Oracle database across WAN.
We have one specific requirement thats unique to our application. Whenever we replicate a row, we have a associated file(text/binary) residing in the file system that also needs to be moved to the replicated site's file system.(We need both the data and the associated file go simultanoeusly.) Do you have any suggestions how this can be achieved in Oracle with out any performance problems?
