Programmer / Analyst - OLAP, ORACLE, Client/Server

Permanent Full Time Position located in San Francisco, CA Close to BART

Requirements

4 or more years of experience in a variety of projects or technical assignments, demonstrating creativity and knowledge of products, concepts and terminology.

Demonstrated experience in two or more of the following products or tools:

OLAP, Oracle, SQL technologies. Crystal Info Reports, Holos, Unix, and scripting. Oracle Express, Data Prism, Sbase a plus. Training will be required where needed.

Key = Will train on Oracle if you have OLAP skills.

• Looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, "take initiative" type of person to work in our client/server group. Someone who likes change and challange. Open to hiring someone with at least two years of Oracle for right individual willing to learn and we will cross train on other applications.
• Powerbuilder, Cobol, or Mainframe experience a plus but not required.

Broad understanding of client/server database Technologies. Demonstrated technical skills; experience in Operational Systems; preference will be given to those who are familiar with ETC, ICMS, CCMS, CALS; experience in maintaining customer relationships.

Accountabilities:
Provide application support. Work on a project team, in a self-motivated manner with some direction. Work with other programmer analysts to develop systems solutions and coordinate development. Report to delivery center key personnel on an as needed basis.

Our department has developed an Oracle database in order to provide improved operational reporting capabilities for the company. This database includes data from a multitude of mainframe systems such as: AVS, ETC, ICMS, CCMS, etc... This database is updated with Mainframe data in a near real-time method through the usage of EDI triggers and has been developed using many of the newest tools and technologies available at our company today (Oracle, DCE/Encina, MicroFocus COBOL and AIX.)

The focus of this position will be to develop new applications and fulfill reporting requirements to meet the needs of Logistics processes.
