oracle datatype equivalent for pascal "word"

What is the oracle datatype equivalent for pascal "word" type. I tried Natural and NaturalN but when I except a function to return 0 it actually returns 53356! Also if I change the Oracle Natural to Integer the procedure bombs out with end of file communication!
