SYMPTOM: The Audit Server process logs the following OPCOM message on the system console when mapping to memory resident global sections (even though auditing is not enabled for this object type):

This behavior occurs after upgrading to OpenVMS Alpha V7.1.
DIGITAL RESPONSE: Engineering has acknowledged this problem and plans to address it in a future release of OpenVMS Alpha only.
WORKAROUND: The ECO kit ALPSYS addresses the problem described in this article. Refer to the ECO-SUMMARY article to determine if this ECO corrects the problem for your specific configuration. More information regarding this kit may be found in the ECO-SUMMARY database by using a query of ALPSYS.
