Yes had the same problem because export views in ora 8 are different.

The solution is to run a file called "$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catexp7.sql" which will build the ora 7 views.

You'll probably get more creation errors along the way. I never got the thing to install a valid rep on ora 8. Des 2.1 is out now but its pretty buggy
doing simple things like reverse engineering.
