Determine sparsity parameters for Oracle Express ?

Hi
We are working with Oracle Express 6.1 on NT and we have to use the sparsity parameters.
Is there a structured way to determine the optimal settings of the sparcity parameters in order
to avoid to many try-and-error-loops.
