IDS Server 3.0 Beta Released

IDS Server is a compact and high performance Type-3 JDBC solution (IDS JDBC Driver). It offers advance features such as Secure JDBC, firewall access, ResultSet Caching that are not available in other competing JDBC drivers in the market.

The IDS Server 3.0 Beta is now available for download to both domestic and international users. Here are some of the new features in this latest release:

  o Supports native Oracle database interfaces. Native interfaces     do not rely on ODBC drivers.
  o Supports running IDS Server as an ISAPI or NSAPI application in     Microsoft or Netscape Web servers.
  o The IDS Server API is now available for developers to integrate     IDS Server into their applications.
  o Improves single-threaded JDBC applications by sharing network     connection and server-side thread for all Statements created     from the same Connection.
  o Honors HTTP keep-alive headers for higher Web server performace.   o Generates NCSA style access log for both HTTP and JDBC accesses.
