This would also be a good canidate for a multivalue database like Ardents Universe. It stores data in a much more efficient manner that Oracle/Sybase/DB2. It also allows large files to be distributed in sucha a way that you can run queries against the sub-files that dramaticaly increases the performance of accessing the data.
