Greg,
I can fully dbcc 160Gb of databases in 12-14 hours so it is possible. The main thinks you need are a VERY fast disk subsystem and plenty of memory - especially when SQL Server is checking against indices, more memory can help a lot. I've seen dbcc's improve by 30-50% when a machine has gone from 256 to 384 Mb of ram - even though other processes aren't improved at all.
In the future SQL 7 will remove most of these problems as dbcc's can be two orders of magnitude faster. (i.e. 100x)
