running Oracle 7 Workgroup Server Release 7.3 on mySolaris 2.5.1 x86 machine. I have not been able to find any info on the latest Version ( Oracle 8) for Solaris x86. Maybe this is what your rep was talking about. But last I recall there was even a trial version of workgroup server 7 for solaris x86 on their web site.

FYI, last year I called a couple of Oracle reps to find out what the problem was
with getting more of their solaris sparc products available for solaris x86. I was told
that their x86 efforts were going to NT. I then asked how much effort was required in
the recompile from solaris sparc to solaris x86. To this I got no answer.

If someone can provide any different info, I would love to find where I can buy these
products.
