SENIOR DATA MODELER
SABRE Technology Solutuions seeking hands on data modeler with 5+ year’s experience needed to assist in the creation of the data model for a multi-terabyte data warehousing project. Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communications skills, able to communicate with management, user communities and application developers. Must be dedicated, self-starter, team-oriented, possess good leadership qualities and interpersonal skills. BS in Computer Science, or related field, required, MS preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
? Must have gathered data requirements and created the logical and physical
models for more than one very large database, minimum of 25 gigabytes
? Minimum of 5 years relational database experience, Informix XPS preferred
? Creation of data models which exploit advanced database features (e.g.
parallel load, data partitioning and parallel query)
? Experience using case tools , ER/Win preferred
? Thorough understanding of the trade-off between model design, database
optimization/layout and hardware selection.
? Minimum of 5 years experience with decision support systems
? Understanding, creation, debugging and optimization of complex SQL queries
? Knowledge of metadata concepts and benefits
? Object oriented skills and methodologies a plus!
