This Fortune 500 company, located in a very comfortable community in southern Indiana, employs over 24,000 people all over the world and specializes in the manufacture of engines. They are adding Oracle DBA's to their Indiana staff, to help implement a manufacturing and
financial Oracle Suite.
Your responsibilities include configuration of the server/disks for Oracle installation and developing & maintaining data model changes and data structures and appropriate networking links in support of distributed environment for specified platforms, and provide consultaton regarding data structure type selection. You will tune and optimize index usage, space mgmt functions, defragment tables/table spaces & application migration, as well as implement DDL generation (tables, indexes, etc.), facilitate user's hardware,
software & access needs.
Tech'l & Basic Requirements: BS/BA, MS/MA preferred. 4-5 years of software development and DBA experience using Oracle 7.2, SQL*NET, FORMS, CASE, AIX, and MS Windows, 2000 Suite on RS6000s and IBM PCs.
