Anyone here have experience attaching an Oracle database to MS Access 2.0?

Problem: MS Access, when opening tables that are defined as attachments to an Oracle database, returns an ODBC error. This error is not accompanied by any error codes.

Observations:
- Length of time between selecting 'OPEN' and receiving the
failure seems to be proportional to the length of the table, suggesting a possible 'end-of-file' problem.
- Problem occurs on all tables in the database except one that I
just created to test some other ideas. (The things that were being specifically tested proved fruitless)
- The one table that is successfully opened was populated with a
series of INSERT commands from an SQL script run in SQL*Plus. The failing tables were initially loaded with IMPORT.
- Problem occurs on all client machines except one, yet all
clients are sharing the Access and Oracle software from the same file server.
- Comparisons of WIN.INI, ODBCINST.INI, ODBC.INI, MSACC20.INI
show no differences between the one successful client machine and any of the failing machines.
