The path to enlightenment is http://www.dejanews.com/. Use the query "oraperl AND ~g comp.lang.perl.*" and check the old archive.
BTW comp.databases.oracle is dead, you should ask your news admin to
carry the new comp.databases.oracle.* heirarchy.
